New Age Eats: Innovating Sustainable Food Production

New Age Eats is at the forefront of producing lab-grown meat as a sustainable, healthy alternative to traditional farm-raised meat. Their first product, pork sausage, was developed using cutting-edge scientific procedures. Given the highly regulated and auditable nature of food production, the company needed a reliable and secure system to track and manage the various scientific and cooking procedures. The solution needed to support stringent auditing requirements while ensuring flexibility and scalability as the business grows.

New Age Eats faced challenges with their existing tools, which fragmented data across multiple applications and lacked the specificity needed for their evolving needs. Off-the-shelf solutions didn’t cater to the specialized workflows and processes required in the food production industry, particularly in the production of lab-grown meat. The client needed a custom Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that would streamline workflows, improve accountability, automate checks, and provide a collaborative platform for employees. Building a LIMS from the ground up offered the client full control over their data and processes, enabling them to adapt quickly as a startup.

We developed a bespoke web application tailored to New Age Eats’ specific requirements. The system facilitates collaboration across departments, making it easy for team members to stay informed about procedure success and maintain data hygiene.
