Crafting a minimalist, user-centric design for maximum accessibility
Our design process focused on simplicity and efficiency, ensuring that users could quickly find and reference the regulations they needed with minimal effort. The app’s interface is clean and straightforward, with intuitive navigation and features like bookmarking, highlighting, and offline access, designed to work even in low-connectivity areas. By prioritizing ease of use, we created a tool that railroad workers can rely on in their day-to-day tasks without unnecessary complexity.
App Engineering
Building a cross-platform app for seamless access to government regulations
The app was developed using a cross-platform approach to ensure consistency across both iOS and Android devices. We engineered the application to scrape the latest FRA regulations and update them automatically in real-time. Key features include the ability to search, bookmark, and highlight important regulations, ensuring users can quickly access critical safety information in the field.
Content Management System
Automating regulation updates and streamlining content delivery
The backend of the app is powered by an automated content management system that scrapes the FRA website for the latest updates to the regulations. This system ensures that users always have access to the most current information, without the need for manual updates. The CMS also allows for easy management of app content, streamlining the process of updating and maintaining regulatory documents.
App Store Delivery
Ensuring smooth deployment and widespread access
Materialize handled the delivery of the app to both the iOS App Store and Google Play, ensuring that the app met all store requirements and functioned seamlessly across devices. By providing users with easy access to the app through their app stores, we ensured that the tool would be available for all railroad workers, free of charge, anywhere and anytime they need it.

Providing continued maintenance and enhancements for long-term success
